Wgtn meeting Wed 16 Oct 2019

Our Secretary/Treasurer, Richard Elam, is due to present this month's meeting on Scanning and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. However, Richard recently suffered some quite severe angina pain and is currently under observation in Wellington Hospital. The last report I received informed me that he was waiting to be advised about having an angioplasty operation with the fitting of a stent to widen the affected artery. It is a quick, painless operation (I went through it some years ago now)  and Richard should be up and about shortly afterwards. Hopefully, if he is feeling up to it, the meeting will go ahead as planned at Ron Oliver's, 39 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, starting time 7.30 pm.
